Travail à chaud (Version anglaise)

Hot work involves working with sources of ignition in an environment where flammable materials can be found. Welding, brazing and cutting are examples of hot work. Fires are often caused by a “quick five-minute” job performed in a location that is not dedicated to welding or cutting, among other things. Obtaining a permit prior to hot work is one of the steps in a hot work management program that helps reduce the risk of a fire associated with this type of activity.

To ensure the safety of everyone at work, employees who are required to perform hot work must be well trained in order to minimize the risk of starting a fire.
