Dangerous goods, such as petroleum products and other flammable, corrosive, explosive or toxic products, must be transported safely to minimize risks to the public, the environment and roads. Special precautions must be taken when transporting certain materials by road. In the event of an accident, they can cause a toxic cloud to form, a corrosive liquid to leak out, an explosion or fire. In addition, a spill may result in contamination of soil or water.

This training, on the TDG regulations, aims to ensure that the correct information is transmitted to persons who handle, offer for transport or transport dangerous goods. An incident involving a vehicle carrying dangerous goods may involve different parties (shipper, driver, carrier, intermediary and emergency services). All have a major role to play. It is therefore essential that these stakeholders be involved to ensure effective and concerted action. There are a multitude of products whose level and nature of danger is very variable.
